Where we started…
Founded in 2010 in Birmingham city centre, VIQU Energy has had multiple incarnations, firstly being known as Consult Solutions, before rebranding to Consult Energy UK in 2017. In 2024, Consult Energy UK was acquired by the VIQU Group, a small collection of local recruitment businesses with the common goal of adapting to the ever-changing needs of their chosen sectors.
2025 marked an exciting new chapter as the business evolved into VIQU Energy. This strategic move positioned the business for sustained growth and momentum, setting the stage for our team to innovate and expand our services in 2026.

We’re a small but innovative team of experienced enthusiastic recruiters with extensive knowledge of the energy and utilities market. We have some ambitious plans to grow in 2026, deepening our network and truly establishing VIQU Energy as a household name.
Led by our Director Joseph Hewitt, who has been with the business for 10+ years, and Managing Director Matt Collingwood, we plan to expand our team and value proposition.
Conveniently located within the same office as our sister company VIQU IT in Edgbaston, Birmingham, we have access to a wealth of knowledge, which will support our endeavours as we grow.
