Climate Action
Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impact.
The VIQU Group’s journey to become carbon negative began in 2021 and was successfully achieved in 2023 through the planting of hundreds of trees to offset all emissions. This journey continued in 2024 with the installation of solar panels on the VIQU Group’s main office’s roof, in order to produce renewable energy.
When VIQU Energy joined the VIQU Group in the summer of 2024, the VIQU Group conducted a new green audit to ensure all efforts were still successfully negating emissions across the collection of businesses. This led to further trees being planted and discussions over the direction team members wanted to go in 2025 to ensure we made further contributions to the Climate Action goal.
We decided to focus on the VIQU Group’s immediate surroundings. We committed to work with our gardener to assess the area around our office and to take actions to improve natural biodiversity, including planting bee-friendly plants and installing ‘bug hotels’ that benefit the types of insects which are prominent in the area.
Zero Hunger
End hunger, achieve food security and proved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture.
The VIQU Group began making donations of non-perishable food items and hygiene products to local Birmingham-based charities in 2020, and have increased the value of these donations by at least 150% year-on-year.
With VIQU Energy joining the VIQU Group in late 2024, and also being based in Birmingham, from 2025 onwards, the Group has committed to increase the value of donations made to charities and providers in the local area by at least 175% per year.
