Starting out in tech recruitment in 1997, Matt quickly worked his way up the recruitment ladder. He led large teams of recruitment consultants and became the highest biller in his previous employer’s history, before launching his own IT recruitment company VIQU IT in 2014.

Matt is an entrepreneur and the Managing Director of the VIQU Group, which acquired VIQU Energy (previously Consult Energy) in 2024. Matt understood the high possibility for extensive growth in the energy & utility sectors and saw the potential of the company if given the right strategic direction and guidance.

Matt is passionate about the recruitment industry and regularly writes articles in industry publications and is quoted in the press for his thought leadership.

In his personal life, Matt is an avid traveller, having recently visited Longyearbyen, the world’s most northernmost settlement, as well as being a great fan of Formula 1 and top of the range cars.
